This person is responsible for providing first-level support for all incoming help desk calls via phone and email as well as providing desk-side support in a K-12 education environment.This position is based in East Lyme, Connecticut.This position pays between $40,000-$49,000 annually. Pay will be based on experience.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handles all incoming calls to the help desk via phone, email & walk-in
- Monitor and follow up calls in help desk queue
- Provide support for hardware/software issues over the phone and in person
- Follow up to closed tickets to ensure customer satisfaction
- Support and deploy various Operating Systems (Windows, Mac, Chromebook)
- Provide resolution and assistance to standard supported applications: MS Office, Browser programs, Antivirus and other supported proprietary applications and systems
- Document and escalate call tickets to related IT groups for further support
QUALIFICATIONS:- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organization and time management skills
- 1-2 years’ experience in hardware and software support
- CompTIA A / CompTIA Network or equivalent experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Server and Active Directory
- Experience with TCP/IP based networks
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems: Windows 7 & 10
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
- Knowledgeable on software installations
- Knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Office, and G-Suite
