2022-23 Elementary Computer Technology Specials Teacher

  • QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    1.  Must possess a valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with an Elementary Education Endorsement.

    2.  Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree

    3.  Must meet all State requirements for position.

    9. Willingness to participate in building wide initiatives that include standards based grading and professional learning communities.

    10. General computer lab knowledge.
    11. Basic computer trouble shooting.
    12. General knowledge and experience with basic computer hardware.
    13. General knowledge and experience with Web Search and Research.
    14. General knowledge and experience with computer operating system and software:

              a.  Windows 2010

              b.  Microsoft Office:

        1. Word
        2. Outlook
        3. Excel
        4. PowerPoint

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The candidate must demonstrate the ability to:

    1. Prepare for assigned classes and show written evidence of such preparation.

    2. As a specialist, on a daily basis, see one classroom per grade level.

    3. Attend and participate in faculty and team meetings.

    4. Participate in workshops and other staff development programs that support building goals.

    5. Be an effective member of a professional learning community by establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with others.

    6. Assess and provide feedback on a regular basis.

    7. Communicate regularly and positively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and behavior.

    8. Be flexible to the demands of the position and manage time effectively.

    9. Work with students in an enthusiastic, supportive, and consistent manner.

    10. Maintain classroom in an orderly educational program.

    11. Use technology in the teaching and managing of students.

    12. Work with and assume the responsibility for the productive use of classroom para educators.

    13. Enforce and uphold all District and Building policies, rules and regulations.

    14. Perform other duties assigned.

     

    SPECIFIC DETAILS

    Monday-Friday 7.5 hours per day starting the 2022-23 school year.
