Summary

Provides a welcoming and supportive environment to patients within the Hospitality Lounge. Professionally greets and interacts with all patients, providing assistance as they await transportation home. Assesses the need of the patient and directs patients to the proper point of service depending on that need. Must be self-motivated. Uses professional etiquette in answering questions from patients. Makes rounds throughout the day seeking to proactively assist patients to and from the Hospitality Lounge. Expected to walk frequently around the hospital, and support all inpatient units. Assists in keeping the Hospitality Lounge clean and organized. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, patient families, coworkers, and physicians. 

Education

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED. Previous clinical education preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Addendums are required for 0153 Nurse Leader, 0249 Registry RN, 0252 Registered Nurse, 0235 Advanced Registered Nurse, and 0236 Expert Registered Nurse. To view addendums, go to the job description page on Parkview’s intranet.

Experience

Medical Terminology and/or hospitality experience preferred. Two years of customer service experience preferred. Physician office experience preferred. Service related experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel, among other Microsoft 365 applications. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to exceeding patient and family expectations. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
