Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher creates, smoothes, and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Duties and Responsibilities
Understand and adhere to all company safety procedures and participate in regular periodic Environment, Health, and Safety training sessions
Skill and experience with concrete forming molds and processes
Ability to pour, level, and smooth concrete surfaces as well as add texture to the finish
Rebar installation, able to follow blueprints and work with rebar to reinforce concrete or masonry construction
Able to read blueprints
Operate and maintain hand tools, mechanical systems, power tools and other machines
Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete
Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces
Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
Patching of existing surfaces

High School Diploma
