Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman specializing in foundation construction to oversee and manage all aspects of foundation-related projects. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in concrete work, skilled in managing teams, and proficient in ensuring the successful completion of foundation projects within specified deadlines. Clair Concrete works in mountainous areas and most of the foundations we do are on steep hillsides so there are large elevation changes and tall retaining walls.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of workers, including concrete laborers and equipment operators, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient work practices.
• Plan, organize, and schedule foundation construction activities, including formwork, pouring, and finishing concrete.
• Interpret project blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to effectively execute the construction of foundations.
• Oversee the setup and assembly of necessary construction forms, ensuring accuracy and quality of foundations according to project requirements.
• Coordinate and manage the delivery and use of materials, equipment, and tools necessary for concrete work, ensuring their proper utilization on-site.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies to guarantee a safe working environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process, making necessary adjustments to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Concrete Foreman specializing in foundation construction, with a minimum of [X years] in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete work, particularly in the construction of foundations, footings, and related structures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings accurately.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team towards successful project completion.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, capable of effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting project deadlines.
• Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to construction work, ensuring a safe work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances on-site.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams, stakeholders, and communicate project updates effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in concrete or construction-related fields.
• Proficiency in using construction management software.
• OSHA certification in construction safety.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
