Conference Coordinator - Higher Ed. coordinates conferences and workshops for the university/college. Responsible for most aspects of the conference/workshop programs including the program budget, selection and design, as well as the registration and payment processes. Being a Conference Coordinator - Higher Ed. reserves locations and arranges for any extra necessities including meals, lodging, or transportation. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Conference Coordinator - Higher Ed. typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Conference Coordinator - Higher Ed. typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. GENERAL FUNCTION: Initiates and performs various administrative duties in support of engineering projects. Interfaces with engineering personnel, regulatory bodies, class societies, vendors, subcontractors, and yard personnel. Reports to the Senior Configuration Manager.

REQUIRED/DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some post-secondary training in project coordination, business, or related field desirable. A minimum of 5 years of coordinator experience or similar preferred. Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience which results in the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Candidate - A should have 5 to 10 years, Candidate - B should have 2 to 5 years
