The purpose of the Individual Life Finance (ILI) team is to provide insightful analysis supporting Individual Life's financial performance to help drive business strategy. The team is responsible for forecasting, managing and optimizing capital, budgeting, driver analysis, GAAP and STAT financial analysis, the production of management reporting materials as well as the analytics. The ILI Finance team currently has an opening for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. This role will support senior management and other business partners in measuring and evaluating the financial performance of the business, forecasting under various scenarios, data analytics, analysis of key business drivers, assessing the potential impact of opportunities and risks, and management reporting of financial results. The role will require effective communication and partnership across various areas including Actuarial, ALM, Tax, Treasury and Corporate Planning and Analysis. The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. What you can expect: Build out the source of earnings analysis for actuals, forecasts, key initiatives on a GAAP and Statutory basis, highlighting pertinent trends within key business drivers including sales, underwriting results, investment results, expenses, and taxes. Understand, analyze, challenge, and explain financial results and business drivers. Design enhancements and efficiencies to key processes and workflows. Drive continuous improvement processes. Support business and corporate partners in strategic initiatives, transactions, and other ad-hoc projects. Support claims and mortality reporting and analysis. Support business partners such as Investor Relations and Communications on the quarterly earnings' narrative. Ability to work overtime during peak periods. What you’ll need: Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, financial reporting, expense management, or related experience. Agile and organized with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple demands while collaborating across different teams to drive execution. Excellent ability to analyze data and the underlying drivers of financial results. Problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to see opportunities that better leverage existing and emerging technologies to complete tasks more efficiently and effectively. Excellent skills using Microsoft products such as Excel and PowerPoint. It’d be a plus if you had: GAAP and Statutory reporting and analysis experience in the insurance industry. Advanced degree and/or relevant certification (MBA, CPA, or CFA) is a plus. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
