Description of Duties:
The Space Systems Senior Configuration Management Analyst supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
· Support all contractor and government level configuration control boards.
· Continue to build the CM program for a fast paced, growing organization
· Monitor change requests throughout their lifecycle and work with requestors to ensure CM requirements are met.
· Manage the processing, reviewing, categorizing and documenting activities for various government and contractor review boards which includes working with requesters to ensure documentation clarity and required documentation is included prior to submittal.
· Coordinate with team members to complete configuration audits and communicate audit recommendations.
· Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve assigned findings.
· Manage the check-in/check-out of technical documents requested for change requests
· Coordinate with engineers and government to build and maintain baselines for controlled environments.
· Develop and maintain configuration status accounting records and metrics and provides to management as needed.
· Review and distribute unclassified and classified documentation for government board meetings.
· Develop CM documentation in support of exercise activities in preparation for Quality/Safety (QS) audits.
· Develop Configuration Management (CM) processes and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with IRES and Government CM policies, plans, and procedures.
· Train the CM process to team members.
· Support organizational process improvement initiatives.
· Perform contract-related document reviews.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will:

· Have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, at both technical and senior/Executive management levels.
· Have excellent customer service skills with a great attention to detail.
· Be proficient in developing comprehensive and detailed drawings.
· Be able to follow documented process and procedures and provide feedback to update as necessary.
· Work well in team environment to triage issues.
· Be able to perform as a section trainer and create lesson plans.
This position will be filled ONSITE at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is expected to pay $104,000 - $129,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. If a candidate has not been selected at that time, it will continue to be posted until a suitable candidate is selected or the position is closed.

Here’s what you’ll need:
Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 6 years of general experience.
· Must have 7 years direct Configuration Management experience, including planning and management, identifying and baselining configuration items (CI) and developing CI structures, understanding of technical documentation, configuration change management, configuration status accounting, verification and audit procedures.
· Must have 1 year leadership experience
· Experience developing and implementing configuration management processes
· Experience in configuration identification and control, standards and configuration status accounting, configuration auditing, and CM training/advocacy
· Experience developing and auditing baseline configurations
· Experience reviewing data and creating reports
· Understanding of system requirements and how they associate to change vehicles
· Must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
· Understanding of Security Classification Guide(SCGs)
· Experience handling classified documents
· Experience understanding of EIA-649-C
· Understanding of ISO 9000/AS9100D and SEI CMMI standards
· Experience briefing to customers and/or organizational leadership
· Experience creating, reviewing or managing engineering and facilities change packages and preparing for approval
· Experience developing and auditing baseline configurations
· CM Certification
· Experience using BMC Remedy. MDARTS
· Experience hosting customer meeting and preparing agendas and minutes
· Familiarity with configuration management of satellite programs
· Experience developing and presenting training documentation
· Experience writing process documents
· Be able to work independently or as part of team
· Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
· Must have the ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance
