Description
SAIC is seeking an organized and motivated Configuration Management Analyst in Middletown, RI. The ideal candidate will have prior configuration management experience in the defense industry. You will play a key role in developing CM plans as well as managing revision control and sign offs on engineering drawings. The candidate chosen will be the administrator for SolidWorks PDM (Product Data Management) across all programs. Will gather, and verify data for hardware, software and documentation for entry into the government configuration management system (CMPRO).
Job Duties:
- Assist efforts to establish complete baselines for hardware and software to include product structure/configuration hierarchy definition, and maintaining configuration baselines (Functional, Allocated, Product, As-Installed).
- Manage SolidWorks PDM across all programs. Help develop appropriate workflows in PDM for drawing approvals and change requests.
- Provide configuration management support for multiple programs.
- Implement process for publishing baselines and updating baseline records with changes approved via approved CM process.
- Develop CM plans specific to contracts based on the CM requirements of the contract.
- Coordinate engineering drawing reviews and sign offs.
- Propose, coordinate, and execute changes to CM plans to improve processes.
- Contribute on new business proposals for the CM group, propose CM plans for future tasking and mitigate risks.
- Support Change Request (ECR/RFC) process and coordinate efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and zero (0) years of relevant experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance.
- Must have experience and background in Configuration Management relevant to configuration identification and change management.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Desired:
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management software tools. Experience in SolidWorks PDM and CMPRO highly desired.
