Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Conflicts Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     About the Role

    The OGC Manager – Conflicts, Business Intake, Compliance Systems & Data is an integral part of Latham’s Office of the General Counsel (OGC) team. This role will be responsible for monitoring, developing, and managing the daily operations of the conflicts system, the data housed therein, and the functional aspects of the conflicts and new business software workflow, assuring compliance with all policies and procedures of the firm, while monitoring and developing best practices and protocols for conflict database management and business intake processes. This role will be located in either our New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Washington D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

    Responsibilities & Qualifications

    Other key responsibilities include:

    • Working with the OGC Senior Manager – Business Intake, the Deputy General Counsel, the OGC Director – Firm Conflicts Management, Innovation, and Processes, the conflicts supervisory team, and team leads to ensure appropriate risk management procedures are in place and being followed, that conflicts database and software policies and procedures are up-to-date and state-of-the-art
    • Participating in software design and development activities for the conflicts and new business software, coordinating and performing testing of the same, and providing recommendations to the OGC Senior Manager – Business Intake, the Deputy General Counsel, the Director of Firm Conflicts Management, and others regarding proposed improvements
    • Staying abreast of current and new technologies and market trends, and doing research and evaluation as to suitable for the firm, working with and making recommendations to the senior management regarding all functions of the conflicts platform and current projects
    • Ensuring the OGC Senior Manager – Business Intake, the Deputy General Counsel, the OGC Director – Firm Conflicts Management, Innovation, and Processes, the conflicts supervisory team, and team leads are kept informed regarding proposed and actual changes to the software and/or procedures relating to conflict reports, conflict analysis, new business intake, or related functions
    • Working with the technology team to develop and prepare various reports relating to the functioning of the conflicts and new business intake teams

    We’d love to hear from you if you:

    • Possess knowledge and proficiency in Intapp Open software or comparable conflicts/intake software
    • Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in automated workflow tools
    • Exhibit knowledge and proficiency in project delivery related methodologies and deliverables

    And have:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
    • A minimum of five (5) years of experience with conflicts or new business systems
    • A minimum of three (3) years of project experience
    • A minimum of three (3) years of law firm or consulting experience, preferably
