Being a Conservation Technician may require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Conservation Technician relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30 pm; Evening / weekend work may be needed occasionally.
Location: This position is 100% in-person, located at 1560 Berger Drive, San Jose, CA 95112. Some presence may be required at our other location at 2650 Senter Road.
Travel: Local travel may be required up to 10% of the time between the Berger and Senter locations.

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of San Jose Conservation Corps Charter School, ensuring financial stability and compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and best practices. Position may require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination in using a computer keyboard. Additionally, the position requires far and near vision when reading and using a computer. Acute hearing is required when providing phone and personal service. The nature of the work may require the incumbent to work outdoors, work at heights, lift, carry and push equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds and work evenings, weekends and holidays. Employment At-Will:

Minimum Qualifications:
Driving Record and Requirements: If the position is offered and accepted, candidates must submit a copy of their DMV driver’s record. The candidate also must possess and continue to maintain a valid California Class C driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Employment Eligibility: Federal law requires all employees to provide verification of their eligibility to work in the United States. Medical Verification: State law requires all employees working with youth to provide medical verification of negative tuberculosis test results within the last year. Employees will also be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Background Check and Fingerprinting: If the position is offered and accepted, candidates will be required to undergo Live Scan Fingerprinting as well as a background check, which includes a state and federal criminal history record check.
