This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a local custom builder as a full time Selections Coordinator. This position allows you to help clients make finish selections, within their budget, for their beautiful custom home.

    The ideal candidate has experience in home selection, who is detail-oriented, well-organized, and customer-centric with a positive attitude. This position also requires an ability to clearly translate client project requirements into budgets and estimates for renovation projects. This is an ON SITE, full-time position.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Client Management:

    • Attend selection/design sessions with clients and vendors
    • Facilitate resolving design challenges with owners
    • Oversee design selection progress against schedule and budget
    • Identify selection and vendor options for specialty items
    • Coordinate and control design submittals for owner’s review and approval
    • Manage procurement and logistics of selected materials to client’s home

    Project Management:

    • Review, negotiate, and recommend for approval/disapproval on design change orders
    • Perform reviews of design deliverables to contract requirements and proposal commitments
    • Manage materials and data to help establish and maintain effective communication and information systems within the portal

    Administrative Tasks:

    • Upload selections and allowances to client portal on project management software
    • Provide assistance in sample boards and board preparation for presentations
    • Oversee and maintain cleanliness and keeping up to date the showroom and materials
    • Support preparation of completed homes for interior photography sessions
    • Coordinate selection sessions with clients and vendors

    Qualifications

    • Ability to guide clients through difficult design decisions, communicate budgets, manage critical deadlines, and create raving fans while being empathetic to client’s design challenges and firmly guiding clients towards the best decisions for their projects
    • Reliable team player with a strong work ethic, a "can-do" attitude, and an ability to listen and communicate effectively and to be held accountable for work
    • Demonstrated strong client service skills and ability to establish and build rapport and good working relationships with management, vendors, and clients
    • Comfortable with technology and capable of managing the entire process through our online customer portal including selection approval, allowance management, and design change orders
    • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; degree in design preferred
    • Minimum 3 years of residential design or building related employment

    No criminal history - must pass a background check and drug test and have a clean driving record. We seek an individual who is interested in growing with our company; only applicants seeking long-term employment need apply. Salary will be based on experience.
