Position Description: As a Construction Accounting Coordinator at Squan Construction Services, you will play a critical role in supporting the efficient and compliant execution of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to manage project documentation, prepare project billings, and ensure that the projects financial information is accurate and current. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail will be vital in maintaining project records and promoting effective project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Documentation: Create, manage, and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, plans, specifications, and progress reports.
Project Finances: Performing accounting duties throughout the project, such as preparing invoices, estimating cash flow, and reviewing purchase orders
o Monitor the collection of overdue accounts.
o Interpret contracts from a billing and cost perspective.
o Review and support accounting job setup.
o Issue and distribute invoices.
Budget Tracking: Monitor project expenses and assist in managing budgets to ensure projects remain within allocated financial resources.
Contract Management: Support the development and administration of project contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
Change Orders: Assist in processing change orders and modifications to project scope, cost, and schedule.
Project Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, keeping project stakeholders informed.
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in construction project coordination, project management, or a related role.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of construction industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact effectively with various stakeholders
Experience with Sage Accounting Software
