Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee our design-build and design-bid-build projects. This role involves managing multiple projects from the proposal phase to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of operating with minimal supervision, and possess a strong background in commercial construction management, including familiarity with federal construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of design-build and design-bid-build projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality and adherence to safety standards.
Direct, coordinate, and supervise project activities, maintaining close communication with the project team, subcontractors, and government representatives.
Address challenges and solve problems arising from unexpected conditions swiftly and efficiently.
Promote and ensure teamwork within the project execution team.
Forecast project cash flow and track financial performance against project schedules.
Prepare detailed project reports for both internal management and government agencies.
Maintain the company’s reputation for excellence through superior project management practices.
Prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in construction processes.
Demonstrate excellent customer service, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to maintain high morale within the team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial construction projects, with a preference for experience with the US Army, Navy, Air Force, NAFAC, and Department of Defense projects.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Project, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check, with eligibility for security access.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Leadership ability, with a track record of building effective teams and mentoring staff.
Knowledge of commercial construction methods, processes, and techniques.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
