We are looking for a high-performing Manager of Inspection Services. The Manager will plan, coordinate, and direct the small team of quality inspectors in our Production department, to drive the inspection processes, while supporting development and implementation of improved quality processes.
Ehrhardt Automation Systems designs and builds Automated Systems, Special Machines, and Customized Tooling based upon customer needs and specifications. Ehrhardt is also a leading supplier of both stamped and machined components for the commercial nuclear fuels industry. Based in the St. Louis metro area in a modern fully air-conditioned facility, Ehrhardt is able to produce products which meet the requirements of some the world’s most discerning industries.
Starting salary range of $90,000-$120,000, dependent on experience.
Provide direction, guidance and training to inspection team.
Exhibit strong communication and problem-solving skills while leading the inspection team toward company goals and objectives.
Ability to measure critical dimension of manufactured parts to tight tolerances and perform inspections using basic tools.
Participates in the review of all design, manufacturing, purchasing, and test documentation and procedures to ensure that the customers’ quality requirements are met.
Strives for continuous improvement in overall defect-reduction, monitors defect-reduction procedure effectiveness, and implements appropriate adjustments.
Must be able to ensure proper documentation and escalate unsavory findings to appropriate personnel for corrective and preventative actions.
Participate in internal quality audits to verify compliance with documented procedures and specifications.
Continuously seek areas of improvement with quality standards and processes.
Maintain the calibration system of all gages and test equipment use for product acceptance.
Supervise a team of quality inspectors, facilitating and training employees in quality processes.

5 years’ experience in manufacturing company.
Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and tools, as well as an understanding of drawings, dimensions, and data analysis.

Strong independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
Ability to train, teach and mentor employees to develop and maintain a strong team.
Thorough understanding of corrective action plans and procedures.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
This position does require a willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as needed.
