We are a Syracuse based commercial General Contractor who is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team. The successful individual will complete accurate take-offs, work with multiple vendors, contractors, subcontractors, and prepare estimates and budgets for potential projects. Work together with project managers and contractors to certify a well-defined understanding of the project work scope, schedules and other information. Prepare competitive proposals in response to specific proposal requests. The Individual needs to have strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Strong understanding and knowledge of construction means and methods.
· The individual will handle and manage bid load for our company.
· Read plans and architectural drawings for preparation of take-offs on assigned projects.
· Excellent oral/written communication skills.
· Proficient with OST (On-Screen Takeoff), QB (Quick Bid), Excel, Word etc..
· Communicate with client by phone, email or attend meetings as needed, to discuss estimates and answer any questions regarding pricing and work scopes.
· Review data to prepare material requirements, and prepare itemized lists for pricing.
· Provide other services as directed including change orders, site visits etc.
· Well-developed estimating, communications, financial analysis, budgeting skills are required.
· Excellent presentation and customer relations skills.
