     Position Overview: The Loan Processor / Loan Officer Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the loan officer in facilitating the loan process. This position involves coordinating with clients, gathering necessary documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between all parties involved in the loan application process. The assistant works closely with the loan officer to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulations 

    Requirements

      

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Client      Communication: Act as a      primary point of contact for clients throughout the loan application      process. Respond promptly to inquiries, provide updates on the status of      applications, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
    2. Documentation      Gathering: Assist clients in completing      necessary paperwork and gather required documentation such as income      statements, tax returns, credit reports, and property information. Ensure      all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory      requirements.
    3. Application      Processing: Work closely with the loan      officer to process loan applications efficiently. Input application      information into relevant software systems, verify data accuracy, and      review applications for completeness.
    4. Loan File Management: Maintain organized loan files, both physical and      digital, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.      Monitor and track the progress of each loan application, updating records      as needed.
    5. Coordination      with Stakeholders:      Liaise with various stakeholders involved in the loan process, including      underwriters, appraisers, title companies, and real estate agents.      Coordinate appointments, inspections, and other necessary activities to      facilitate the closing of loans.
    6. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company      policies governing the mortgage lending process. Ensure all activities are      conducted ethically and in accordance with industry standards.
    7. Administrative      Support: Provide administrative support      to the loan officer as needed, including scheduling appointments,      preparing reports, and handling correspondence. Assist in maintaining the      loan officer's calendar and managing incoming calls and emails.
    8. Continuous      Learning: Stay informed about changes in      lending regulations, industry trends, and company policies. Participate in      training programs and professional development activities to enhance      skills and knowledge.

      

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
    • Previous  experience in a similar role within the mortgage lending industry is      highly desirable.
    • Strong  communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to      interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to      multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Proficiency in using loan origination software and other relevant computer      applications.
    • Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a positive attitude      and willingness to learn.
    • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
