Construction Loan Officer sources and structures construction loans. Performs a due diligence review of potential borrowers, including risk and financial analysis. Being a Construction Loan Officer analyzes applicants' credit and financial status and obtains property appraisals to determine the feasibility of granting loans. Develops relationships with builders and developers to obtain referrals and future lending opportunities. Additionally, Construction Loan Officer structures construction loan terms and conditions according to policies. Approves loans within authorized limits or refers them to a loan committee for approval. May disburse loan proceeds at designated project mile. Requires a bachelor's degree. Phylway Construction is looking for qualified individuals who have the experience and qualifications to act as the on-site Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO). This individual will be responsible for Safety activities on Army Corps of Engineer projects that are located generally in the New Orleans, Louisiana area.
Site Safety and Health Officer Duties and Responsibilities
Collect and Maintain Safety Data Sheets
Conduct Monthly Fire Extinguisher Inspections
Conduct Monthly First Aid Kit Inspections
Conduct Safety Orientations
Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.
Daily Equipment Inspections
Enforce the Contractor’s safety program
Inspect site and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
Inspect the site to ensure it is hazard-free
Maintain Accident Prevention Plan Compliance
Perform Daily Site Safety Inspections
Present Daily Safety Briefings
Responds to all safety concerns
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that are dangerous or unhealthy
Train workers about special safety issues when needed.
Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use
Watches out for the safety of all workers on the site
Write and review all AHAs
Site Safety and Health Officer Requirements and Qualifications
5 years of continuous construction or general industry related safety experience, or 4 years of experience and a third party nationally accredited certification by ANSI or National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) including: (CHST; CCHST; CHP; CIH; CSP; or CSTS)
Industry experience, as defined by The Corps of Engineers for SSHO’s
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, additional hours as needed
Proficient skills in standard office software packages
Ability to maintain competency through 8-hours of documented formal, on-line, or self-study HSE coursework annually
Site Safety and Health Officer Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in seated stationary position for long periods of time
Ability to navigate around office to use equipment as needed
Ability to lift and carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts up to 50 pounds unassisted
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders, push, pull, bend, kneel, crawl, stoop and/ or sit.
