Construction Management Director oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Develops and implements quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Construction Management Director reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Construction Management Director builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Construction Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Construction Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Primary Responsibilities

    Recruitment and Selection: Director of Recruitment & Retention

    • Handles full lifecycle recruiting for open positions below Director level positions.
    • Champion of Applicant Tracking and Onboarding systems and supports the community in the full use of this technology. The following platforms are included: OnShift, Relias, Efficient Apply and Efficient Hire.
    • Establishes relationships with local colleges and various institutions to assist in developing a pipeline of viable candidates.
    • Participates in job fairs or conducts them to drive brand recognition in the community and become an employer of choice in the senior living community.
    • Conducts the initial phone and/or in-person interviews with prospective candidates.
    • Facilitates new hire orientation program and supports training initiatives.
    • Ensures company values and mission is included in all recruiting endeavors. Utilizes the QSLM hiring and onboarding policy and procedure to facilitate a successful and positive experience for new team members.

    Retention: Director of Recruitment & Retention

    • Supports the onboarding process for all new front-line hires to further drive our brand and culture adoption.
    • Ensures culture initiatives are followed and maintained such as, welcome gift to new team members, interest sheets for new hires, acknowledge and recognize milestones within the life of the team member; and leads in team member recognition and awards programs, such as "team member of the month", "bright ideas", assisted living appreciation week, nursing appreciation week, etc.
    • Initiates and conducts new hire check-in's to ensure all questions have been answered, training has occurred, and adoption of culture is taking place. Prepare weekly reports for community leadership on progress and any opportunities as required by company policy and/or the Executive Director.

    Culture: Director of Recruitment & Retention

    • Implements corporate initiatives related to awards, recognition and "bright idea" initiatives.
    • Recommends community-based initiatives to drive local team member engagement.
    • Utilizes the QSLM monthly all-staff training calendar to create agendas and activities for the monthly all-staff training meetings.

    Supportive Services: Director of Recruitment & Retention

    • Models professionalism, compassion and courtesy at all times
    • Assists in the dining room as requested by the Executive Director.
    • Supports and participates in team marketing.
    • Assists during open house events.

    Regulation and Policy Compliance: Director of Recruitment & Retention

    • Complies with all QSLM/The Blake policies and procedures.
    • Maintains Federal, State, County and City regulations.

    Education/Experience/License/Certification

    • Must have a caring heart, willing to serve other
    • Excellent oral and written communication and language skills to enable them to perform their duties
    • Must have and maintain a high level of confidentiality, and interact effectively with community personnel
    • Must demonstrate skills and values that naturally support recruiting and team member engagement strategies
    • Requires a strong working knowledge and skills related to software programs, such as Excel and Microsoft Word, as well as additional applicant tracking software programs
    • A high school diploma or GED is required, as well as experience in the health care industry
    • Experience in hospitality or the senior living industry is also highly preferred.
