Description

Valiant Residential is seeking a highly skilled Director of Construction Management to join our team.  

This role will lead a team of Construction Managers overseeing a wide variety of projects on our managed properties. These will include interior upgrades, exterior refurbishments, and disaster recoveries. Duties will consist of directly overseeing projects and mentoring and leading team members in other projects.

This role is located at our Corporate Office in Dallas (near 635/75) on-site.  

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of construction projects across multiple properties in multiple states.
• Lead and mentor team members 
• Establish and maintain contractor/vendor relationships.
• Accurately track and report on project status to internal and external partners.
• Scope and budget projects through partnership with external contractors
• Actively drive projects to timely completion while maintaining a planned budget.
• Drive process improvements across the organization 

Requirements

• Ten years of project management experience in the construction space
• Five years of leadership experience (management of people) 
• Experience selecting and managing external contractors.
• Multifamily property management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, or related field 
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional demeanor
• Strong technical acumen with Microsoft products
• Willingness to work on-site at our Dallas, TX headquarters.
