Construction Management Director oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Develops and implements quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Construction Management Director reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Construction Management Director builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Construction Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Construction Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     About the Role
    Soaren Management is adding a Director, Credit and Operations Risk Management to our Fintech start-up that is stable, profitable, and rapidly growing. The Director has extensive and proven experience managing the credit risk of large loan portfolios, from underwriting through to account management strategies. The Director leads a team of data scientists and analysts. This position collaborates with executives across the business to execute analytical initiatives that assure portfolio growth and performance. The Director integrates credit policy and risk management with operations strategies to facilitate efficient creation and management of volume.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and maintain credit policy across the portfolio lifecycle for all Soaren portfolios.
    • Create and implement testing strategies for credit policy in underwriting and account management.
    • Assume ownership of Soaren’s critical underwriting logic and processes.
    • Effectively manage other credit risk and operations analysts.
    • Understand operational key performance indicators, report trends and patterns.
    • Manage lead and underwriting costs as part of credit risk and operations.
    • Maintain critical decision flows on Soaren platform(s) to ensure operational availability and consistency.
    • Collaborate across Operations, Compliance, IT, Finance, or other departments.
    • Follow all company policies and procedures.
    • Display leadership through punctuality, professionalism while performing required duties.
    • Other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field preferred.
    • 7 years of proven experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven experience solving complex credit risk and operational analytics problems using statistical techniques and economic logic.
    • Strong SQL and data-wrangling skills – experience specifying and completing analyses from scratch.
    • Experience using Python and/or R to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
    • Experience working in a startup environment is a plus.
    • Must meet requirements of company background check policy requirements.
