Construction Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Adhere and promote company SAFETY measures at all times
- Loading and unloading equipment and materials
- Prepare construction site and clean up when job is completed
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, tampers, and rakes
- SAFELY drive trucks and pull trailers with equipment and materials to construction sites
- Perform routine/preventative maintenance and inspection on equipment
- Help clean and organize trucks and warehouse areas
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record for insurability
- This position requires significant travel (domestic only), and will require you to be gone typically holiday to holiday
- Able to work outdoors in all types of weather and may be exposed to extremes of climate and temperatures
- Basic computer skills
- This is a SAFETY-sensitive position and is subject to pre-employment and random DOT drug tests
Preferred Qualifications:
- Class A CDL
- Experience in heavy equipment operation and general maintenance of (backhoe, trencher, mini excavator, auger, and forklift)
- Experience in the corrosion industry, pipeline construction, or underground utilities
- TWIC Card
Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. If you have questions, please speak to your recruiter about the flexibility and detail of our compensation philosophy. For this role, we anticipate paying $18 - $25 per hour.
