    Brent Davis Construction, Inc. has been building quality residential and commercial construction projects from excavation to finish in Port Townsend and Jefferson County, WA, since 2001.

    BDC builds large and small homes, both new builds and remodels, from teardowns to historical restoration, from complete projects to smaller kitchen and bath renovations. BDC recognizes that the most successful projects evolve from supportive, communicative, team-based working relationships. BDC works closely with architects and owners throughout the entire course of a project and consistently maintains a dialogue between all involved parties. Crews typically consist of a chief and 2 or 3 workers on a job site, plus subcontractors, which keeps moving the projects along quickly while keeping the project manageable. BDC is looking to add skilled team members to their growing organization.

    FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

    BDC is looking for efficient, safety-minded laborers for a reputable and growing residential and commercial construction company. Our goal is to develop skilled labor as we continue to grow BDC. We have long-term work available for the right candidate in a variety of positions. Applicants should have residential construction industry experience and access to reliable transportation. Laborers with special skills, such as concrete finishing and carpentry, are in especially high demand. We offer a consistent work schedule and competitive pay. The ideal candidates will be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security.

    PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Organize supplies for each job as directed.
    • Climb to heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints.
    • Lift heavy loads up to 75 lbs. and navigate construction job site terrain.
    • Dig pits, trenches, and foundations in preparation for job site construction.
    • Operate heavy machinery, including construction vehicles.
    • Identify utility lines.
    • Perform setup and cleanup tasks at the job site.
    • Back-fill trenches and pits when necessary.
    • Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew.
    • Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles.
    • Candidate will perform any and all trades associated with residential renovations.

    Job Requirements

    • This is a physically demanding role. Expected tasks performed daily include demolition, framing, basic electrical, basic plumbing, drywall boarding, taping, patching, subfloor repair, painting, etc.
    • Experience cleaning up job sites.
    • Knowledge (or willingness to learn) about general and specific types of construction materials to finish materials.
    • Previous construction experiences and assets, but not required, will train as needed.
    • Tool maintenance and repair.
    • Valid and current driver’s license.
    • Ability to pass a background check.
    • Dependable, self-reliant, and positive team player.
    • Keen eye for detail.
    • Good communication and creative problem solver.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • High school diploma/GED preferred.
    • 2 years’ construction industry experience preferred.
    • Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
    • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
    • Comfort working in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations.
