QUALIFICATIONS
· Proficiency in concrete finishing
· Knowledge of frame carpentry for formwork preparation
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints for construction projects
· Multi task, work independently or as a team player
· Mechanical knowledge for operating tools and equipment effectively
· Must have a minimum of 4 years proven experience in concrete finishing and hardscape projects
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
· Must be able to follow direction, and work both independently and in a team environment.
· Assist and prepare worksites for concrete footings and assemble concrete forms.
· Bend, form, tie and install rebar as illustrated on plans or as directed.
· Fill forms or panels with concrete and vibrate, screed, trowel, or prepare surface to ensure proper concrete settling and surfacing. Top off, screed, or float the top of wall with necessary tools.
· Dig holes or trenches for foundations, posts, poles, and move and lift heavy objects, etc.
· Climb ladders or other structures necessary to assist in erecting formwork.
· Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, leveling and finishing surfaces
· Work with various tools and equipment to achieve desired concrete finishes
· Repair and restore concrete structures as needed
· Follow blueprints and construction plans to execute concrete finishing tasks accurately
· Adhere to all company policies and procedures and conduct self that represents the company in a safe and professional manner.
· Working flexible hours including weekends may be required.
· All other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Must be able to lift, push, pull., carry up to 50lbs without assistance bend, and stoop, squat, kneel, reach, grip, etc.
· Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, squat, kneel and occasionally crawl.
· This position requires a frequent use of hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and includes grasping and squeezing.
· Exposed to dirty conditions.
· Position will be exposed to various weather conditions, rain, sleet, snow, wind heat and cold.
· Jobs are performed in outside environment with close proximity to highway traffic, heavy construction equipment and hazardous construction, which may include high spaces.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use verbal, written, visual and listening/hearing communication skills, and use of hands and fingers. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, kneel and/or sit.
· The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
