CONSTRUCTION MANAGER REPRESENTATIVE - NATIONAL PARK SERVICES - YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Manager with a degree in Engineering or Architecture to join our team on a National Park Services Project in Yellowstone National Park, WY. A summary of the major tasks is listed below.

Project Scope:

The primary duties are to provide an on-site Construction Management Office (CMO) with Construction Management Representatives (CMR) to manage multiple NPS projects throughout Yellowstone National Park including, but not limited to, Old Faithful District, Grant Village District, Canyon Village District, and Mammoth Hot Springs. The CMO/CMR will serve as the technical liaison between the construction contractor, the Contracting Officer/s Representative, and the Contracting Officer. The CMR(s) assigned to specific project(s) shall be responsible for assuring satisfactory performance and delivery of the completed project in compliance with the construction contract. Planned projects currently involve restoration of historic structures, demolition of abandoned wastewater facilities, construction of an RV park for accommodating construction workers, improvements to existing water/wastewater facilities, and new water/wastewater facilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Licensing: none required
• Certification: NICET-CT, OSHA 30
• Education: Bachelor of Architecture/Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited school of higher education.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in both design and construction
  • Prior experience working with Federal Government Project Managers/CORs on processing change orders, requests for information, submittals, and field observation reports.
• Knowledge: Able to quickly understand and master
  • Requirements of local state and federal jurisdictions in relation to the Project.
  • Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and Drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, architecture, historic architecture and landscape architecture disciplines, historical architecture, and landscape architecture drawings in order to perform on-site interpretation of drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Must be familiar with contract administration, schedule reviews, change order review and processing, and cost estimating.
  • MS Project and Computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Leadership: Must possess the ability to collaborate and integrate with other professionals
• Experience with Historic Restoration Projects and industrial and/or Wastewater treatment is a PLUS!
• PE license
• CCM, PMP certifications
