    Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Estimator to lead our estimating efforts and ensure the accurate and competitive pricing of construction projects. The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in analyzing project requirements, developing comprehensive cost estimates, and supporting business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of success in the commercial construction industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the estimating process for commercial construction projects from concept to completion, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with project goals.
    • Review project plans, specifications, RFIs and other documents to develop detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
    • Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, scopes, and schedules to identify potential risks and opportunities.
    • Collaborate with project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and insights for estimating.
    • Prepare and present cost estimates, proposals, and value engineering recommendations to clients and project stakeholders.
    • Develop comprehensive budgets and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for upcoming projects, meticulously accounting for all necessary resources, labor costs, materials, and contingencies, ensuring accurate financial projections and meticulous planning for successful project execution.
    • Initiate proactive communication through phone calls and emails to ensure comprehensive coverage and timely updates for assigned projects.
    • Mentor and train junior estimators, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to inform estimating strategies and best practices.
    • Evaluate subcontractor bids for suitability and adherence to project requirements, meticulously populate bid sheets with relevant data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
    • 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on commercial projects.
    • Proven track record of success in leading estimating efforts for large-scale construction projects.
    • Strong proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
