Like the owner’s representative role, the CM advisor is a fee-based consultant to the owner and does not directly hold design or construction contracts.  However, the scope of services for a CM advisor is significantly different than a typical owner’s representative agreement because the CM advisor has overlapping responsibilities shared with the design professional and contractor and is authorized to make important project decisions for the owner.
