Summary: Work with other professionals on the Outreach team to provide a range of services through a multitiered system to support educators in Arkansas schools. Provide coaching, training, and consultation to address DESE initiatives focused on meeting statewide, district, classroom, and student needs, as well as support the mission and vision of Easterseals Arkansas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide general technical assistance through coaching/consultation to school teams, families, and other school personnel relative to educational programming, as assigned.
Provide student-specific short-term coaching to educators in schools relative to the educational needs of students, as assigned.
Follow established guidelines, procedures, and timelines for all consultations and activities.
Effectively collaborate with other consultants to provide services and to summarize recommendations or to develop additional narratives within identified timelines.
Develop and/or present professional learning on various topics related to inclusive education of students with disabilities, as assigned.
Participate in statewide projects/initiatives in collaboration with DESE, other consultant groups, and Easterseals Arkansas, as assigned.
Remain current on research-based practices and periodically attend approved conferences, seminars, or other professional learning, chosen or assigned, in order to build a depth of knowledge that will enhance the effectiveness of collaborative consultations. In addition, be able to share information gained with the Outreach team and incorporate it into trainings.
Statewide travel including overnight stays as needed.
Communicate with the Outreach Director as needed or as requested by the Director.
Serve as a team leader or member of programs/activities on MOU, as assigned.

Adhere to Easterseals Arkansas, Outreach program, and DESE policies and procedures as well as the guidelines for special education in the Arkansas public schools.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to Easterseals Arkansas.
The employee has access to all client-protected health information of the individuals directly served by this person, except psychotherapy notes. The employee will not attempt to access any other protected health information unless otherwise approved by the Program Director, Supervisor, or VP of Human Resources.

Education and/or Experience:
Master's degree (M.A./M.S.) in Special Education with preparation in the education of students with severe disabilities. Minimum of five years experience working with students with disabilities in public schools. Leadership and/or supervisory experience in schools is highly desirable.
