    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

    To be successful in this role, applicant must be fully effective with regards to meeting or exceeding assigned production and service level goals that will support the Credit Union’s mission and strategic goals. 

    Demonstrates a highly motivated, positive, outgoing personality with a strong emphasis on sales, member service and be results oriented.  Ensure the Credit Union maximizes lending and sales opportunities to enhance quality and depth of member relationship and profitability.  Very knowledgeable in the lending process from application to closing, familiar with all Credit Union products and services and is able to effectively offer appropriate solutions to each member’s unique situation.  

     

    CORE COMPETENCIES

    Take complete loan applications from inbound/outbound/online/dealer referral channels.  Actively look for lending opportunities to further assist the member as well as increase loan volume as well as new accounts, ancillary products and services.   

    Personifies the role of a trusted advisor, providing excellent service.  Able to clearly communicate with members in oral and written form. 

    Provides accurate and timely information, responses and decisions.

    Able to transition seamlessly through various applications and be proficient with sales and loan interviewing techniques.

    Ability to use technology to efficiently perform job functions.

    Assist loan processors in facilitating timely loan closings, such as: gathering loan documents, coordinate tracking of documents, etc.

    Fosters a spirit of cooperation to ensure the success of the team. Displays flexibility regarding scheduling.  Ability to work flexible hours as needed, which may include occasional Saturdays.

    Meet or exceed established loan, ancillary product and service goals.

    Recommend changes to dealer cross sell program as needed to mitigate risks and facilitate a positive member experience.

    Adhere to all mortgage & consumer lending regulation and credit union loan and member privacy policies.

    Meet all credit union sales and compliance training requirements.

    Other duties as assigned by manager.

    Requirements

    KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY

    Credit Reporting/Scoring.  Personal finance.

    Critical thinking/analytical skills.

    Ability to focus on more than one task.                    

    Ability to prioritize tasks and goals.             

    Displays self-confidence and self-motivation.

    Uses sound judgment and makes good business decisions.

    Ability to see the ‘big picture’ of member retention and organizational growth.

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR FORMAL TRAINING

    Associate’s degree or equivalent training/work experience preferred.  Strong knowledge of the processing of real estate and consumer loans.  Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

     

    EXPERIENCE

    At least two years financial service experience including internal & external business development and consumer finance sales preferred. 


    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    Starting hourly rate - $19.00 - $22.00 hourly depending on experience
