    Job purpose

    The Consumer Lending Processor assist members with their loan requests, providing clerical and administrative support needed to process and close member loans.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Maintaining loans within guidelines with authorized direction from members or manager.
    • Performing post close reviews of loans for accuracy and completeness within set guidelines.
    • Prepares loan servicing documents as applicable (payoffs, discharges, lien releases)
    • Works with member and assigned lender (POD) to add missing documents.
    • Answer member phone calls and emails
    • Identifies and takes action to improve the group's operating methods and procedures.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    Performance Measurements

    • Review loan documents and work to resolve errors according to established department standards.
    • Provide informed, prompt, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates by responding to email within 24 hours, answering telephone, and replying to messages within 24 hours.
    • Develop, maintain, and demonstrate a working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal government rules and regulations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma/GED is required
    • 6 months to 2 years of similar or related experience.
    • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
    • Proven ability to proactively interact with members to identify and uncover needs while supporting a strong member/customer service culture.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
    • Understands and complies with Credit Union's BSA/AML program as applicable to job.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines

    Physical requirements

    This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary
