Consumer Credit Manager jobs in Sumter, SC
Consumer Credit Manager supervises underwriting operations and oversees the loan application review process to determine loan eligibility and terms. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the underwriting team to ensure that loan screening is conducted timely, accurately, and in compliance with all regulations. Being a Consumer Credit Manager provides loan options or product recommendations based on qualifications and keeps the team updated and informed of new products, regulations, or product changes. Assists customers through the loan process by researching and answering complex or unique customer inquiries, clarifying details, and coordinating with internal parties. Additionally, Consumer Credit Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Consumer Credit Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Consumer Credit Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:- Assist the Loan Compliance Officer in tracking and verification of new account loan documents
- Verifies that each new loan account requiring special attachments or documents is complete
- Upload new loan from branches into database
- Reviews and verifies accuracy of new and replacement loans documents and accuracy of data in system
- Scan and index all loan documents
- Monitor loans for compliance issues
- Track insurance and other collateral documents
- Inputs loan bookings for residential, commercial and consumer loans
- Verifies for input accuracy
- Orders, reviews, and mails payment notices and coupon books
- Processes loan payments
- Distributes loan reports
- Completes loan tickets for in-house disbursements and balance loan transactions
- Investigates loan payment histories
- Monitors and files telephone transfer sheets from Loan Officers.
