Consumer Credit Supervisor supervises underwriting operations and oversees the loan application review process to determine loan eligibility and terms. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the underwriting team to ensure that loan screening is conducted timely, accurately, and in compliance with all regulations. Being a Consumer Credit Supervisor provides loan options or product recommendations based on qualifications and keeps the team updated and informed of new products, regulations, or product changes. Assists customers through the loan process by researching and answering complex or unique customer inquiries, clarifying details, and coordinating with internal parties. Additionally, Consumer Credit Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Consumer Credit Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Consumer Credit Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Senior Credit Risk Specialist – Consumer Credit Policy Adherence & Governance Execution

    Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Specialist to be part of Wells Fargo's second line of defense and Independent Risk Management team, covers jobs which lead the design and management of a highly targeted independent credit review (oversight) capability to assess the quality of lending and ongoing management of credit risk within the Bank, including adherence to risk appetite, credit policy and regulation. May include jobs which approve and provide credible challenge to line of business credit products, programs, transactions, and policies, and participate in acquisition due diligence.


    In this role, you will:

    • Lead moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for risk mitigation strategies within Credit Risk.
    • Contribute to credit performance, potential or emerging risks.
    • Review and analyze moderately complex processes and projects, business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
    • Receive direction from leaders.
    • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
    • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
    • Interact with internal customers.


    Required Qualifications, US:

    • 4 years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


    Desired Qualifications:

    • Ability to create and deliver dynamic presentations.
    • Consumer lending operations exposure.
    • Experience successfully escalating complex issues and tracking follow-through to completion.
    • Experience in conducting credit risk analytics, gap assessments, and Risk Control Self Assessments.
    • Knowledge and understanding of underwriting and use of delegated credit authority.
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
    • Experience with credit risk testing policy and procedures/control testing.
