Consumer Credit Supervisor supervises underwriting operations and oversees the loan application review process to determine loan eligibility and terms. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the underwriting team to ensure that loan screening is conducted timely, accurately, and in compliance with all regulations. Being a Consumer Credit Supervisor provides loan options or product recommendations based on qualifications and keeps the team updated and informed of new products, regulations, or product changes. Assists customers through the loan process by researching and answering complex or unique customer inquiries, clarifying details, and coordinating with internal parties. Additionally, Consumer Credit Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Consumer Credit Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Consumer Credit Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Solicitation, analysis and coordination of approving or denying credit to members. Also provide members with products or services that are associated with their lending needs. These are done in accordance with Westby Co-op Credit Union policies and procedures.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Work Relationships and Scope: Consumer Loan Officers report directly to the Retail Loan Department Manager. Has direct contact with members and all other support staff directly associated with consumer loans. Due to the nature of the position, will work with almost all employees at WCCU.

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education preferred.
Experience:Customer Service of 3 years or more. Banking or Credit Union experience preferred but not required.
