Transcend Credit Union has an opportunity for a Branch Supervisor. The successful candidate will have Financial Institution Lending experience along with supervisory experience.

Job duties will include, but not limited to:

• • Perform all Loan Officer responsibilities, from application to closing, within the policies, guidelines and limitations put in place by the Credit Union.
  • Set up IRA/SEP accounts and be fully knowledgeable in advising members about these programs.
  • Open new accounts, including business, estate and trust accounts. Set up new account files, and provide members with all necessary membership information.
  • Perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
  • Serve as Vault Teller for the Credit Union, which includes ordering cash from the Federal Reserve, verifying cash received, filling teller cash orders, maintaining vault security, and balancing vault cash nightly.
  • Provide training, direction and coaching of staff in fostering a Service and Sales culture. Assist staff in obtaining their individual goals, and ensure goals are consistently met.
  • Evaluate employee job performance to ensure service to members and quality of work. Provide written documentation of employee performance. Recommend disciplinary action, when necessary to appropriate Branch Manager / Regional Manager before taking action.
  • Conduct branch cash and inventory audits.
  • Maintain an up-to-date, comprehensive knowledge of all Credit Union products and services that are handled or promoted by Tellers. Maintain an up-to-date, comprehensive knowledge of all policies, procedures, rules and regulations for the Teller area, including robbery procedures.
  • Ensure that the branch surroundings and staff project a professional image that reflects a sound and secure financial institution. Conduct administrative duties, such as ordering all supplies and equipment needed for the branch. Ensure adequate controls exist to safeguard all branch assets and supplies. Coordinate general maintenance including repairs and cleaning.
  • Participate in Lending Center call queue as needed.
  • Work with Branch Manager / Regional Manager to achieve Branch growth goals set forth by Credit Union Management
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a minimum of three years of work experience in the Financial Services industry preferred.
• 3 Years Financial Institution experience preferred.
• Experience in supervising, coaching and developing employees is preferred.
• Background in Lending strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Loan Policies, Procedures and Lending practices.
• Ability to cross-sell Credit Union products and services effectively and accurately.
• Maintain a consistently positive, helpful attitude with internal and external members. Act with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and provide outstanding service. Must be service driven.
• Ability to abide by Transcend's Service Mission and Promises.
• Present a polished, professional image regarding conduct and appearance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to proficiently use a personal computer and applicable software employed by the Credit Union including the Microsoft Office suite.

• Overall knowledge of Credit Union programs, policies and procedures.
• Self-motivated; ability to perform at a high level with minimum supervision. Driven by results.
• Ability to ensure a high level of performance and goal achievement from staff. Ability to effectively coach and motivate employees.
• Ability to handle multiple and/or changing priorities simultaneously.
• Available to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
