Consumer Credit Supervisor supervises underwriting operations and oversees the loan application review process to determine loan eligibility and terms. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the underwriting team to ensure that loan screening is conducted timely, accurately, and in compliance with all regulations. Being a Consumer Credit Supervisor provides loan options or product recommendations based on qualifications and keeps the team updated and informed of new products, regulations, or product changes. Assists customers through the loan process by researching and answering complex or unique customer inquiries, clarifying details, and coordinating with internal parties. Additionally, Consumer Credit Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Consumer Credit Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Consumer Credit Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Floater Supervisor/Assistant Manager

  • This position is accountable for back up of all branch positions, including management, and back up for the Floater Manager position. Ensures exceptional service is provided and assists with obtaining organizational goals, branch growth, staff development, implementation of policies and procedures and embracing the credit union’s Mission, Vision and Values.


    DIMENSIONS

    Staff Supervision: Varies. Recommends adequate staffing levels to include hiring/termination

    Service Goals: 4.00 rating or above required on a 5 point scale

    Sales Expectations: Assist assigned branch/department in meeting/exceeding their established monthly/annual sales goals

    Cash Drawer: $5,000.00


    Supervisory responsibilities

    This position reports directly to the Floater Manager. No employees report directly to this position.


    NATURE & SCOPE:

    • Backs up all branch positions. May be requested to back up Member Service Center or other support department positions.
    • Backs up branch management positions to include assigning, monitoring, and reviewing work assignments of branch staff to ensure completion of duties according to established procedures and timeframes.
    • Backs up branch management to ensure new acct and loan processing/documents are accurate and complete, under writer stipulations are met and appropriate information is documented. May assist with managing loan queues to ensure approved loans are funded.
    • Backs up Floater Manager.
    • Processes member transactions. Performs account file maintenance and handles member issues.
    • Opens new accounts and analyzes member financial service needs, seeks opportunities to increase household penetration of credit union products and services.
    • Identifies cross selling opportunities.
    • Maintains a thorough knowledge of all products and services, policies and procedures.
    • Processes consumer and real estate loans.
    • Handling of a cash drawer may be required.
    • Identifies branch inconsistencies and recommends efficiency ideas to Floater Manager.
    • Recommends and implements procedures. Communicates and ensures new programs, policies and procedures are followed by staff.
    • Responsible for assigning and completing various departmental side-jobs.
    • Maintains all necessary department records in accordance with established procedures.
    • Responsible for the overall maintenance and appearance of assigned branch/department. Ensures an organized, safe and professional environment is maintained.
    • Ensures branch is compliant with internal audit procedures. Performs necessary steps to ensure BSA/AML compliance to reduce risk to the credit union.
    • Exercises discretion and independent decision-making to ensure growth and soundness of the credit union.
    • May serve as a notary.
    • Shared Branches – Train and ensure staff is knowledgeable on all FSCC Policies/Procedures that are unique to CU Service Centers.
    • Performs other relevant and related duties as required.

    Other Education, Skills, and Abilities

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Financial Services is preferred or up to 5 years equivalent financial industry experience. A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience is required.
    • Must maintain registration as Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) in compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act) and regularly provide this unique MLO registration number to all consumers as part of their daily work in mortgage lending.
    • Good communication, conflict resolution and coaching skills; ability to demonstrate sound reasoning, judgment and decision making.
    • Knowledgeable in sales and service, branch operations, lending, regulations and security procedures.
    • Ability to drive to different locations to provide branch or call center coverage.
    • Ability to appear for work on time, interact effectively with coworkers, understand and follow posted work rules and procedures, accept constructive criticism and lead and manage others.
    • Requires demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively train, develop and motivate others. Acts as a role model for co-workers, displaying a professional and positive attitude at all times.
    • Availability to work Saturdays, Sundays and evenings required in order to accommodate branch, Business Development and Community Relations functions.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Work is primarily performed within a cubicle office setting. Subject to standard background noise found in an office environment and during travel time, subject to variable weather and traffic conditions.


    Note: Staff is expected to perform various tasks, projects and administrative duties as assigned.
