Consumer Accountant:
Franklin Rural Electric Cooperative (Franklin REC), a member-owned rural electric distribution cooperative located in Hampton Iowa, is currently seeking applications to fill a Consumer Accountant position.
The consumer accountant is a vital team member within our strong accounting team. This position has been curated through growth and opportunities within the Franklin REC business model. We believe in a highly efficient and cross functional team which means the individual selected for this position will be able to work within many different facets of the electric cooperative business. The consumer accountant position can be tailored to best fit the strengths and personality of the individual applying for this opportunity.
Responsibilities include:
Electric Service Billing (monthly basis)
Miscellaneous Services Billing (monthly basis)
Payment Processing
Support office manager with Generac generator program
Members/Customer facing, assisting with inquiries and support
Performing additional tasks as needed

Requirements:
Qualified applicants must have either a two-year accounting degree or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with general office equipment are essential. Strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask effectively are also required for this role. Candidates must be a team player who works well with others to achieve common goals. Additionally, the ideal team member will have an ability to take initiative within their position/projects.
This is a full-time position requiring Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week.
