JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Consumer and Mortgage Lender places thoughtful care and attention into helping our customers with their loan applications for residential mortgage loans and consumer loans.  Because at the end of the day, we understand that cultivating relationships with people truly matters.  From pre-qualification to closing, our lenders help navigate the path towards pride and ownership.

• Take loan applications for residential mortgage and consumer loans through which he or she must prequalify and explain programs thoroughly and ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines for loan applications.
• Take loan inquiries in person or by phone explaining loan programs, rates and prequalifying when applicable.
• Call on realtors to ask for their business and referrals, ensuring constant flow of loan applications as well as increased volume.
• Cross‑sell bank services to loan applicants to increase bank's market share of personal services used. Identify new and existing customers’ financial service needs by observation, listening, prospecting, and profiling
• Market products and NWB through public relations, educational seminars and advertising.
• Close loans that he/she originated once all documentation has been completed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 4 year college degree or related work experience
• 2 years professional office experience
• Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
• Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
• Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion

HOURS:

Regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
