Job Overview:
The Branch Audit Department plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and promoting the best interests of our clients. As a Branch Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting risk-based audits to test compliance with industry regulations and firm policies. You will work closely with Financial Advisors and branch teams to assist them in building successful and compliant businesses. Communication skills are essential as you will provide feedback on audit outcomes, address potential issues, and collaborate with different teams. This role may be based in our headquarters or offer remote or hybrid work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk-based reviews of business practices, client accounts, and electronic records to test compliance
- Partner with Financial Advisors and branch teams to support their success and compliance
- Provide clear and effective communication regarding review outcomes, potential concerns, and necessary actions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address issues or risks and escalate when needed
- Contribute to department projects and initiatives to improve processes and effectiveness
- Travel approximately 40-50% of the time to conduct inspections and compliance discussions
Skills and Requirements:
- Active Series 7 and 63 or 66 licenses (or equivalent)
- Series 9, 10, and 24 licenses required or must be obtained within 12 weeks of hire
- Financial service experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Broad knowledge of financial services products, industry regulations, and firm policies
- Strong communication, listening, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Ability to build relationships and manage conflicts with empathy and respect
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others in a dynamic environment
