  • POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Regional Lending Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the growth and sustainability of the commercial lending activities within their designated area. Responsible for providing leadership and management for a group of commercial lenders working with the Director of Commercial Lending and other lending leaders to establish team goals, and strategies that impact both short-term operations and long-term objectives. Manage and direct your team to achieve and surpass sales, profitability and business goals and objectives. Oversee the management of the team's commercial loan portfolio. Manage a personal loan portfolio consisting of more complex commercial loan relationships. Operate within established lending authority and guidelines. Provide optimum profitability balanced with acceptable risk. Ensure adherence to established bank loan procedures, practices and reporting requirements. Ensure accountability to meet and exceed sales development and referral activity goals. Participate in business development activities. Conduct relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Portfolio Management: In collaboration with lending leadership will oversee the management of the loan portfolio within the region, ensuring a balance between growth, risk management, and profitability. Review and approve loans within specified limits and make recommendations for those requiring higher authorization. Provide advice and guidance to loan officers on larger and more complex loans.

    Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential borrowers by thoroughly assessing financial statements, credit history, and overall financial health. Implement risk assessment tools and methodologies to maintain credit quality of new loan originations and the existing loan portfolio within the region.

    Business Development: Identify and pursue new lending opportunities within the region to expand the client base and increase market share. Build and maintain relationships with key business partners, local businesses, and community leaders to promote lending services and banking products.

    Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure teams' thorough knowledge and that all lending activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies evidenced by appropriate application in day-to-day operations. Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry practices that can affect commercial lending operations.

    Team Leadership and Development: Manage and lead a team of loan officers providing guidance training, and development to enhance their skills and performance. Set clear team goals and performance metrics and monitor team performance against these metrics.

    Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare and review periodic financial and analytical reports to monitor the performance of the loan portfolio. Provide strategic insights and forecasts based on regional economic conditions and market trends.

    Customer Relationship Management: Oversee and ensure legendary customer service standards within the region. Resolve complex customer issues and complaints related to lending processes and services.

    Exercise the usual authority of a senior manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. Responsible for formal annual communication of performance reviews with direct reports.

    Actively participate in sales program, attend appropriate sales training, and utilize sales program initiatives. Make referrals to other business units for all banking products and services.

    Complete or attend all required training.

    Requirements:

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor's degree in finance or business; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

    Five or more years lending experience with detailed knowledge of current bank lending procedures and policies, lending regulations (state and federal), lien laws, collection/bankruptcy regulations, and loan documentation. Strong knowledge of commercial, mortgage and consumer lending.

    Strong ability to analyze financial statements and loan risk. Must possess good judgment skills. Ability to make critical decisions independently, research and solve problems, work independently, handle confidential information and manage multiple tasks.

    Thorough knowledge of bank products and services. Demonstrated skill in soliciting business for both bank deposit products and loan services.

    Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills. Strong customer relations skills and ability to work with employees and customers in a cooperative manner. Ability and desire to work as part of a team, and with people of diverse backgrounds.

    Ability to accept and facilitate change caused by customer demand, corporate needs, or regulatory requirements.

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to resolve conflict situations.

    Ability and desire to represent Central Bank of the Ozarks Market in the community.

    Ability to read, write, and speak English.

    Ability to use PC and telecommunications for organizational advantage and communication.

    Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Ability to drive a vehicle. Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for bank insurance purposes.
