GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The person in this hybrid position will function as a teller for a percentage of the time but also have responsibilities and reporting duties to the EVP of Sales. They will help with maintenance and servicing of our merchant processing clients and will be expected to be out of the office at times during these service calls. When not assisting merchant clients, this person would be operating as a teller or doing research/reporting. When acting in the teller position, the teller’s main responsibility is to accept and accurately process transactions according to the Bank's policies and procedures, as well as compliance and regulatory guidelines. As the initial contact for new and existing clients, a teller provides excellent customer service while identifying sales opportunities and performing account transactions. The teller will also address inquiries and handle problem resolution, while escalating more complex customer services issues to the appropriate person. Refer customers to the appropriate business partner for products and services uncovered during business interactions and/or conversations. The teller will ensure proper handling of all monies assigned. Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally), maintain confidentiality, work with speed and accuracy, grasp technical information quickly, and work independently and as a team member.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures a consistent client service experience through primarily handling clients’ transactional needs, including accepting deposits and loan payments, verifying cash and endorsements, cashing checks within limits, issuing money orders, cashier’s checks and redeeming savings bonds.
Provides customer service, ensuring a consistent experience for clients by smiling, and engaging in courteous conversations while uncovering needs.
Adheres to internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies. Stays informed of all changes in policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
Adhere to the Bank’s teller balancing standards.
Maintain a clean orderly work area and ensure that all confidential records and customer information is properly secured at all times.
Adhere to all security policies and procedures.
