Loan Specialist/Loan Processor at our Church Street location in Ottumwa, IA.

Are you an experienced loan processor looking to make a job change? South Ottumwa Savings Bank is seeking a Loan Support Specialist/Processor for Ag and commercial loans. . This position entails working with loan officers/originators and ordering items needed for processing and closing loans. Responsible for verifying applications and other data for completeness and accuracy, inputting loan information into bank approved software (Laser Pro), printing documents, and reviewing & verifying loan files to ensure completion and availability of necessary paperwork. Assumes responsibility for loan files and documentation from receipt through closing. Ensures application and documents meet established standards, applicable regulations and bank procedures.

Qualifications: Previous loan processing experience. Experience using LaserPro software preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. College degree or related coursework in a business related field or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house loan processing training program. Ability to analyze documents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, courtesy and patience are essential. Proven track record of accuracy and prioritizing workload to meet established guidelines in a fast paced environment. Computer usage experience with aptitude for using applications to facilitate loan processing duties.
