| Role: | Responsible for processing mortgage portfolio and investor loans. Performs all tasks in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures and federal regulatory laws. |
| Essential Functions & Responsibilities: |
| - Serves as primary point of contact for members throughout the processing stage. Responsible for building a professional rapport with members, answer questions, return phone calls/emails in a timely manner, and provide status updates on a weekly basis.

| - Communicates with Third-party Service Providers/Realtors and orders all necessary services to complete loan file to include, but not limited to, Appraisal, Title work, WDO Inspection, Survey, Flood Determination, and Verification of Deposit.

| - Reviews mortgage loan file for accuracy /completeness. Requests additional documentation from member and updates to purchase contract, if necessary. Ensures all documentation is in compliance with Freddie Mac and EFCU mortgage loan policies and guidelines.

| - Submits the mortgage loan file to the Underwriter for initial approval. Clears and addresses any stipulations that have been notated.
|
| - Ensures the accuracy of received title insurance commitments, appraisals, assessment drive-bys, surveys, WDO Inspections, and other services needed to complete the mortgage loan file; all while protecting the interest of EFCU as lienholder.

| - Prepares and re-discloses a changed circumstance Loan Estimate within three business days from the member's request. Ensures that all fees and services are accurately disclosed before sending it out.
|
| - Submits completed mortgage loan file to the Underwriter for "Clear to Close". Clears and addresses any stipulations that have been notated prior to sending the file to the Loan Closers.
|
| - Keeps in constant contact with the Loan Closers if there is an upcoming purchase closing. Works to ensure that the Loan Closer has the mortgage loan file in a timely manner.

| - Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

| | Must be thoroughly familiar with EFCU computer system and Mortgage LOS system. |
| | Maintain knowledge of Mortgage Regulations and EFCU mortgage policies and procedures. |

| Knowledge and Skills: | | Experience | Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Must be familiar with all EFCU Mortgage Loan products and procedures. Prior Processing or other mortgage experience preferred. |
| | Education | A high school education or GED. Annual review of Federal and State Mortgage Lending Laws and Regulations is required. This includes, but is not limited to, Fact Act, SAFE act, ECOA, HMDA, TILA, and RESPA training. |
| | Interpersonal Skills | Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. |
