This internship is responsible for working directly with our members to help guide them through the loan fulfillment process. You will act as the member’s advocate, find loan processing solutions, act as their primary point of contact and ensure every member has an amazing experience. This role is a fundamental part of what makes Student Choice different. Credit unions pride themselves on delivering an experience for their members that is second to none. This position will be based on our Operations Hub located at 110 Broadway St, San Antonio TX, 78205. (Heart of downtown San Antonio) The internship will begin in June and continue through August. Interns will have the opportunity to work 35 – 40 hours a week over the summer. Based on performance, there may be additional opportunity to work 15 – 20 hours per week during the fall semester. The hourly rate is $15.00 - $17.00. We have a highly engaged workforce in a casual dress business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sorting through applicant information and maintaining accurate records
• Contacting identified applications by both phone and email
• Work through loan underwriting and processing with borrowers
• Documenting all communications and actions
• Tailoring responses and actions based on individual application notes and previous responses from the borrower
• Conducting thorough application review at each touch point to ensure correct actions are taken
• Keeping a book of business that will track all applications until issue resolution
• Handling questions from existing book of business borrowers and setting proactive review points to ensure prompt service and action
• Ensuring quality of service for their borrowers at every touch point
Key Qualifications:
• Preference for Sophomores and Juniors/Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
