GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Loan Servicing HMDA Specialist II is responsible for the review of loan information contained in the Loan Origination System (LOS) to determine if the correct action as defined by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) for all related loans and to perform reporting on the HMDA Loan Application Registry (LAR) for all applicable data points.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain working knowledge of the requirements of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
2. Remain current of the bank's lending practices and procedures in order to perform a thorough and accurate comparative loan analysis. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
3. Ensure that all HMDA related fields within the LOS have been correctly entered and completely input. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
4. Issue daily the Statement of Denial, Termination or Change for any applicable loan files. This duty is performed monthly, about 10% of the time.
5. Report any issues or concerns about non-compliance with HMDA regulatory requirements. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
6. Assist with updates of HMDA policies and procedures. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
7. Review loan application data and credit files for accuracy in reporting consistent with the requirement of HMDA. This duty is performed monthly, about 10% of the time.
8. Read, analyze and interpret loan applications and related documentation gathered during the loan underwriting process to approval. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
9. Coordinate with departments within the bank to resolve inconsistencies in loan data and recommends changes as warranted that will ensure the efficiency and accuracy in reporting of HMDA data. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
10. Perform HMDA information audits. This duty is performed as needed.
11. Complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly.
12. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
13. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
