Consumer Loan Servicing Supervisor supervises the daily activities of a loan servicing team. Oversees and coordinates processing and documenting loan transactions, insurance, and tax bills, and performing escrow analysis. Being a Consumer Loan Servicing Supervisor ensures that loan transaction files are accurate and complete, and that staff complies with appropriate procedures, regulations, and guidelines. Performs quality checks and resolves issues. Additionally, Consumer Loan Servicing Supervisor monitors workload and allocates resources to meet production goals. Coaches and trains team. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a senior manager or head of a unit/department. The Consumer Loan Servicing Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Consumer Loan Servicing Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     The Loan Servicing Supervisor is responsible for advanced knowledge of loan operations functions, including Commercial, Construction, and Consumer Loans. The position aligns and develops a team to achieve high performance, implements initiatives and oversees attainment of objectives while demonstrating the Ameris Vision, Purpose, Expectations and Values. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing and researching general ledger for outages, QC review of the incoming payments process received via electronically or via check, review loans on Core System for accurate payment setup, research returned payments, review various reports, and servicing of specialty lending products such as Participations, Syndications, and SWAP transactions. The position also assists with training, recruiting, special initiatives, new loan conversions and supports other areas within Loan Operations. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.    

    Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

    ·      Supervises daily operations of the Loan Servicing Team.

    ·      Recruits, coaches, leads, motivates and develops Loan Servicing Technicians.

    ·      Delegates and ensures work completion and accuracy, monitors work flow, volume and timelines; expedites efforts as needed to meet demands and service level agreements.

    ·      Responsible for optimizing use of resources to meet staffing needs and service levels.

    ·      Trains and educates employees on loan servicing policies, procedures and processes.

    ·      Monitors and ensures proper utilization of software applications to track, monitor, update and maintain status and records.

    ·      Oversees implementation of process and system enhancements, assessing impact and delivering training.             

    ·      Monitors individual and team results and adherence to organizational policies and procedures to identify performance trends, oversee compliance and lead attainment of goals.

    ·      Works to understand the root causes of complex issues; identifies and implements resolutions.

    ·      Documents results and prepares reports for senior management.

    ·      Maintains compliance with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.

    ·      Monitors the customer experience by assessing customer feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement, and researching and resolving complex problems to ensure customer service excellence.

    ·      Performs and validates calculations, including interest and payoffs.

    ·      Assist with reviews and updates to departmental procedures and assist management with process improvements.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

    ·      Demonstrates leadership skillset with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships, coach, mentor and retain a high performing team.

    ·      Ability to effectively express self, using language and grammar in a professional manner.

    ·      Ability to plan, schedule and organize schedules and workloads to achieve strategic goals within or ahead of established time frames.

    ·      Advanced ability to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, present findings and make thoughtful recommendations considering overall risk and short-term and long-term impact.

    ·      Ability to provide a high level of interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs.

    ·      Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.

    ·      Thorough knowledge of banking compliance policies and procedures.

    ·      Able to analyze and record detailed information and produce accurate, high quality work products.

    ·      Thorough knowledge of financial covenants, business entities, standard and non-standard loan products.

    ·      Thorough knowledge of loan compliance policy.

    ·      Able to manage, analyze, read, and interpret complex loan documents.

    ·      Able to perform accurate calculations and transactions.

    Industry and Work Experience:

    ·      6 or more years of Loan Servicing experience or similar field required.

    ·      Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.

    Academic:

    ·      High school diploma or GED required.

    ·      Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred.
