Contact Center Director directs all aspects of an organization's contact center policies, objectives, operations, and initiatives. Analyzes operations and develops key performance criteria and standards to monitor and manage agents' performance. Being a Contact Center Director establishes operational targets, best practices, and training programs that support service, quality, and efficiency standards. Researches state-of-the-art operations and technology used by contact centers to identify and adopt models and tools to enhance the customer experience and drive efficiency improvements. Additionally, Contact Center Director develops collaborative partnerships with stakeholders to maintain effective operations and deliver optimal results. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Contact Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.   • Children and Families First Job title   Center Director Programs Head Start/Early Head Start Reports to   Education Director   General Description  It is the responsibility of the Center Director to administer and supervise center operations to achieve the level of quality as described by the Head Start Performance Standards, the NC Child Day Care Licensing Laws and regulations to meet 4 and 5 star requirements, and the NAEYC Accreditation Criteria.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program   Ensure implementation in all classrooms of a developmentally appropriate curriculum as described by NAEYC and a culturally relevant curriculum as described by the ACF Principles of Multicultural programming.   Ensure the integration of education curriculum and other component services as related to classroom activities and environment.   Maintain a physical environment that conforms to governmental and agency standards of safety and cleanliness, is conducive to optimal growth and development of children who attend the center and meets state licensing standards. Ensure that all required services are provided for each child and family in the unit.   Provide an orientation to parents and staff regarding all aspects of program operations.   Provide information to parents regarding educational programs and other program                          activities through parent information areas in each center.   Assign and schedule children to classrooms in conjunction with Family Advocates where               necessary.   Management responsibility and accountability for the recruitment and enrollment of children and families and will supervise the Family Advocates in this on-going effort;   Perform any other job-related tasks as assigned.    Staff Supervision   Supervise and evaluate all personnel, paid and volunteer, as well as other personnel as necessary, assigned to the center. Conduct annual performance appraisals, incorporating a professional development plan for each classroom staff incorporating educational goals and objectives to achieve the highest standards. Make recommendations to Center Cluster Manager regarding employment of or                              termination of center staff with appropriate documentation and in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Plan and conduct regular and called meetings of center staff. Ensure that each staff member establishes and maintains open communication with Families. Plan for the delegation of staff responsibilities (including bus duty and assignment of groups of children to each staff member); In conjunction with training staff, develop staff training plans with center staff and ensure staff participation in all training and workshops as appropriate. Arrange for substitutes for regular employees when needed, utilizing GTCC substitute program as a resource. Ensure staff participation in IEP sessions, consultation, and implementation. Ensure staff participation in the overall program-wide recruitment effort of children. Ensure the center staff are involved in recruitment of volunteers.   Operations   Ensure that all required paperwork is completed before enrolling children. Supervise record keeping for the center that is required by governmental and agency policy including:   records of children's enrollment, attendance and progress anecdotal records personnel files and documentation health and safety inspections fire drills   Maintain good working relationships with landlord, i.e., church, school, housing authority.   Coordinate with center staff and Family Advocates in keeping enrollment of children at        capacity. Monitor attendance of children.   Maintain confidentiality of records including but not limited to both staff and children.   Inspect building and grounds for cleanliness, needed repairs and general upkeep.   Make referrals to other components for services not provided by center staff. Report significant events and problems to the Education Director on a regular basis. Conduct monthly fire drills.  Conduct required tornado drills.   Collect and promptly submit reports, invoices, volunteer time sheets, records etc.                    required by the program to the appropriate person(s).   Report suspected cases of abuse or neglect to Protective Services staff.   Promptly distribute memos, menus, and other materials to parents.   Compile with staff materials for Program Newsletter as one means to inform parents.   If no substitute is available, assist in the classroom.   Attending center parent committee meetings.   Participate in program staff meetings as called.   Maintain center operations based upon knowledge of child development theories and              appropriate practices.   Abide by the NAEYC Code of Ethics.   Continuously identify areas for professional growth and actively pursue opportunities. for addressing these areas.  Some options for increasing knowledge and skills are:  actively participating in in-service staff development programs; taking college courses. reading articles in professional journals and/or books; attending local, state, regional and national conferences and seminars;   Participate in activities which inform the community of the services and goals of the agency.     Essential Qualifications A BS/BA degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education or a BS/BA out of field with 18 semester hours in class work related to the preschool education of children 0-4 is preferred. NC Early Childhood Administration III required.  Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. At least two years experience in an early childhood education program, and supervisory      experience in Head Start (or a similar program) is preferred. Demonstrated ability to supervise others. Demonstrated ability to organize and implement procedures essential to the operation of a            Child Development Center. Demonstrated ability to perform effectively the duties required for the job including verbal ability to communicate, auditory capacity to respond to children and adults, visual ability to          complete written assignments and physical ability to complete assignments given accommodation as required by law. Successful completion of Infant/Child or Community CPR Course and a Red Cross First Aid       Course within the first 6 months of employment. Must renew CPR annually and First Aid            every 3 years. Demonstrated willingness to actively pursue appropriate professional development opportunities.   Americans with Disability and Workers’ Compensation Specifications   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk hear, taste or smell.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, color, peripheral depth and the ability to adjust focus While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
