Sr. Quality Supervisor
We're looking for a motivated Sr. Quality Supervisor to drive and own quality assurance programs! Having premium, safe, quality products for customers is of the greatest importance here at Land O' Lakes. The role of the Sr. Quality Supervisor is to assure that policies, procedures, specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements are consistently followed, so every customer is a happy customer!
The Sr. Quality Supervisor partners closely with manufacturing to continuously improve quality programs. In this role, you will conduct internal inspections of our facility and work cross functionally to implement improvements. This role does not have direct reports and requires using good judgement to make solid decisions. This position reports to the Quality Manager.
Essential Functions:
Owns and Drives HACCP Program, and other quality programs as assigned
Owns and Drives Product Safety Quality Event program
Owns Quality Training, with a focus on delivering training in a meaningful way
Make recommendations for improvements based on requirements and business needs or changes
Collaborates cross functionally to determine root cause as well as make recommendations for corrective actions.
Required Skills:
Ability to comprehend college-level mathematics.
Working knowledge of driving Process Improvements, and being a Change Agent
Manufacturing Sanitation knowledge or experience preferred
Knowledge of lab equipment and testing procedures preferred
Knowledge on FSMA, regulatory requirements, HACCP preferred
Strong attention to detail; Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
Self-starter with initiative to complete projects under general direction
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE”
Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology is preferred, with 3 years proven leadership skills in Food/Dairy manufacturing/processing environment or related or Associate Degree with 5 plus years of experience in in Food/Dairy manufacturing/processing environment or related or High School Diploma with 7 plus years of in Food/Dairy manufacturing/processing environment or related skills/experience will also be considered.
The Spencer Cheese plant operates 24/5. In this position, you will be required to flex your hours as needed by the business. Typical hours are during 1st shift operations which begin at 5:15 AM.
