Duties & Responsibilities

• Document Control:
  Prepare, distribute, maintain, and revise controlled documents for the VDL.
• Quality Assurance Training:
  Oversee and maintain training plans and courses in the quality assurance software.
  Assign training courses to VDL personnel for document revisions.
  Provide onboarding training to new employees and assist new and existing staff with training needs.
• Corrective Action Program:
  Oversee client complaints to the VDL, ensuring they are investigated, corrected, documented, and communicated.
  
  Collaborates with the Quality Assurance Coordinator in the completion of nonconformance and corrective action workflows, ensuring that they are investigated, corrected, documented, and communicated.
  
  Participates in comprehensive risk assessment to identify compliance gaps that need to be resolved or mitigated.
  
  Analyze compliance gaps and document any areas of improvement.
• Internal Audit Program:
  Participate in the performance of internal audits to measure compliance of the Illinois Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory policies and procedures, AAVLD standard and to identify gaps in the quality system.
• Reporting:
  Prepare quality assurance reports to the QA Coordinator and Management.
• Other:
  Other related duties as assigned or in collaboration with the VDL Director and/or the College of Veterinary Medicine.
