JOB SUMMARY
The Auditor is an independently elected official, who is a vital part of Meade County’s governmental team. The Auditor is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the county’s financial assets by overseeing a broad range of financial transactions including supervising staff functions of accounts payables, accounts receivables and payroll. The auditor sets the annual mill levies for all taxing entities and the disbursements of those revenues. The Auditor is part of the checks and balances team for all county departments managing financial funds. The Auditor is responsible for conducting federal state and local elections insuring adherence to federal and state codified law.
