The Content Writer is responsible for the writing, managing, and development of publications for the College and the executive staff including the President’s Report, press releases, the Annual Report, newsletters, and a variety of other college publications and advertisements. Support in the development of marketing strategies and corresponding campaign with a heavy focus on digital marketing tactics. Coordinate with and support external marketing agency/vendors as needed. Provide assistance to the Executive Director with all major events, such as ribbon-cutting/dedication ceremonies, by overseeing details related to the special events, including the coordination of vendors including photography, catering, and facilities layout. Provide departmental support as needed related to purchasing items, billing, entering requisitions, and work orders.

The goal of the College Relations Department is to enhance the image of the College, both internally and externally. This department support the College’s marketing, public relations, corporate communications, and special-event’s needs. This area is responsible for general advertising, internal and external publications, media relations, government relations, maintaining the College’s image and branding, and the main social media accounts. The department meets the needs of the College as it pertains to design and creative projects as well as the production of print materials, from academic classroom materials, marketing related materials/mailings, to posters/signage, through the College’s Print Shop.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, English, Communications, Journalism, or related field required.

One to three years of related experience in corporate, non-profit, or education public relations operations.

• This position’s duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled.

• Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

• Some travel required.

$45,000-$55,000

Full Time. Flexible schedule to meet department needs. Some evening, weekends, and extended hours will be required. Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to all on and off- campus sites as needed by the college. Mandatory overtime is required throughout the year, especially at peak times. Employee must establish primary residency in New Jersey within one year of appointment unless an exemption applies.
